The
Planar Antenna consists of a Ground Plate in octagonal shape supported
by tubular sections with one of its sides extended for input feeding.
The radiating elements in the form of Tubes provided on the ground
plate are supported through Teflon spacers. The assembly of radiating
elements on the Ground Plate forms the star shape. The assembly
is enclosed in a fiber Glass Radome designed to prevent water entry
inside. The entire antenna is fabricated in aluminium alloy material.
This
is a compact low profile planar circularly polarized antenna for
data collection platform specially for meteorological services provided
by Insat in remote areas.
