Constructed in the same manner as the rotary dipole, and two element yagi, the three element system gives excellent forward gain coupled with relatively compact size when compared with a log periodic, which has similar gain characteristics.  With up to 3 self selecting frequencies available, the antenna is light enough to be remotely rotated on heavy domestic rotator.  This makes effective low cost system.
