H.F. ANTENNA OMNI DIRECTIONAL
Model No. H 206
(1.6 to 30 MHz.)
Cat No. CIL Z1/5985-000197
AF 310B/5985-000197(Defence Approved)

This antenna is designed by Defence Electronic Research Labs, Hyderabad, for receiving operation from 1.6 to 30Mhz.  The Antenna adjusts its effective length for any frequency within the specified frequency range and provides omni directional pattern.  It is provided with two specially designed frequency, sensitive networks which will tune only to the desired electrical length of the antenna to resonate at the desired frequency and thus the variation of input impedance and existence of nulls are avoided.  The antenna provides uniform performance throughout the band.

The antenna is divided in to three elements and the two electrical networks using lumped constants internally gets connected depending on the frequency of operation.  The electrical networks, make the desired length of the antenna effective, disconnecting the undesired length.  The antenna is provided with an impedance matching transformer and a lightning arrestor.
