KADEVI has designed and manufactured counterpoise earth systems for DVOR used as navigational aids in the Airports. We have supplied several systems to Airport Authority of India and exported to Chile, South America, Bangladesh, UAE, Qatar, and Sharjah etc. We have also undertaken foundation and erection of some systems in other countries. Kadevi designed counterpoises are used in majority of airports in India.
The Counter Poise Earth System for DVOR is arranged for high accuracy communication at the difficult sites since it is immune to many of the siting problems and gives the required tolerances for the signals in space.
Counter Poise is arranged at a height of 5 meters above the ground level and is made of steel structure and the earth radial is made of steel wire mesh peripheral sheet. The advantage of the CP is that at the time of receiving signals, the earth reflection will remain the same, throughout the year in all seasons. The CP is circular/polygon in shape with 9M, 18M & 30M diameter. The place of installation of the CP shall be a plain-leveled ground and is selected by Airport authorities. The plan view of the C.P. is showing the perimeters, the mounting platform for central antenna, walkway, and trap door. One ladder is provided for the maintenance staff to climb through trap door, over to the C.P. |
